In our lives we have many things that are important to us. But two of the most important things are family and our home. And, because they are important it is imperative that we keep both safe from potential dangers. One of the most common dangers that can be hazards to our family and home is the danger of fire.

Fire in the home is one of the biggest hazards that we face, and unfortunately because of this danger it is one of the leading causes of death. However, families can be prepared for the possibility of fire and knowing what to do can be the difference in saving lives. There are a number of suggestions that we can make to keep your family safe.

Being prepared is one of the biggest things is creating a family fire safety plan. This would be utilized in the event of a fire so that all family members know what to do and where to go. In addition, in the event of a fire it is important to realize that the air will be filled with smoke and breathing this air will be a danger. In addition to the dangers of fire, one of the leading causes of death in a fire is from inhaling smoke.
